Apollo Syndicate Management Limited (Apollo) is a Lloyd’s Managing Agency. We manage the affairs of Lloyd’s Syndicate 1969, which underwrites (re)insurance business on a worldwide basis. Apollo is regulated by the PRA and the FCA, and is registered in England & Wales (company number 09181578).
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Apollo’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31 December 2016. It was approved by the Board of Apollo in May 2017. The statement applies equally to Apollo’s Appointed Representative, Apollo Partners LLP.
SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING POLICY
Apollo has zero‐tolerance for slavery and human trafficking and seeks to ensure that slavery and human trafficking do not take place in any part of our business or supply chains.
The Apollo Board believes that, because of the nature of the business in which the company is engaged and our limited supply chains, the risk of Apollo becoming involved in the support or facilitation of slavery or human trafficking is small.
SUPPLY CHAINS & SUPPLIER DUE DILIGENCE
As a provider of insurance and reinsurance solutions to our customers, our supply chains are very limited. We outsource some ancillary functions relating to our principal underwriting and claims activities to reputable professional firms. We also engage external parties to provide support services such as cleaning and telecommunications to our London offices. Any material outsourcing arrangements that we enter into are subject to extensive due diligence.
In order to minimise the risk of Apollo becoming involved in the support or facilitation of slavery or human trafficking, we plan to do the following during 2017:
